My name is Kirsten and I am looking for babysitting/home help work to correspond with my university studies. I have 3 children of my own - they are aged 10, 13 and 18 years. I have previously worked as an Ofsted registered childminder when I lived in England. I moved back to Scotland a year ago. As a child minder I worked with children from 4 months to 14 years old - 18 for children with disabilities - and also worked with children who were on the Autistic spectrum, ADHD, social and emotional behaviour difficulties and foetal alcohol syndrome. I have NVQ level 4 qualifications in Health and Social Care, Early Years Practice and Child Psychology, level 3 practice based health and social care, child day care, level 2 autism and nutrition as well as other work based certificates in working with adults with disabilities. I am first aid trained, although my certificate has expired. I am currently at Stirling University in my first year of my Sociology degree.
I am a patient person who loves helping small children to bring out the best of their characteristics through play. with older children, I can help with homework, cooking and playing games. I feel sticking to parent's routines and providing consistency is important for children of all ages
