My name is Julie i am a mum with 3 children, my eldest daughter is 12 my middle daughter is 9 and my little boy is 3.
I have NVQ level 2&3 in childcare and have 10 years experience working in a nursery setting and 5 years babysitting experience with all ages from birth. As well as the experience with my own 3 children.
I love animals I have 2 cats, 1 dog and 4 ponies, All my children adore animals too. We spend time as a family going out weekends, riding the ponies and visiting friends and family.
I am available for baby sitting 7 evenings a week and mon- Thursday during the day time. I have a valid crb.
I have wanted to work with children ever since i was at school, When i left school i went to West Kent college for 2 years where i got my childcare qualifications, Straight after college in 1995 I then worked in Nurseries doing various roles working with babies as young as 12 weeks up until the age of 12. i was also sent on a number of different courses to support my childcare career.
Over time 10 years of childcare i decided to have a career change in, my daughter was was 1, i was spending less time with her due to my full time role as the position i was in could not be part time, i also found the the childcare role in general was getting more and more paper work involved and i felt i was spending more time writing and typing, planning, observations etc than the time spending with the children, i felt like my job was more like a secretary, i wanted more involvement with children, i even looked at the route of childminding to find that paper work had increased in that role too, i then started at M&S part time in sept 2005
I have experience from birth up to teenage years, having three children myself, gave me more experience than what i thought i had! I also do regular evening babysitting for the same families over a period of 5 years.
