I have recently taken early retirement, at the age of 60, from a career in social work.
I am physically active but am finding that one can't fill a whole week with exercise classes and swimming!
I have had 3 children, who are all now in their 20s and are currently back at home, after university, being at various stages in their careers ( primary teaching, sports teaching and law, respectively)
I have therefore had a lot of experience of working parenthood and am still doing a lot of cleaning, laundry and shopping! I have a car and still do a fair amount of driving.
My ability to help with homework, however, is likely to be affected by my age and lack of computer skills and I don't have any regular contact, now, with young children apart from monthly turns on a church crèche rota.
I am not looking for full time employment but have time available and would like to feel that I am using it in a positive way.
I would like to think that I can be patient, dependable and flexible.
Occasional babysitting | $7.50 per hour |
Since I have not previously undertaken this kind of role, I'm unsure what to charge apart from a rate that is equivalent to the minimum wage.
