Staci, occasional childcare in Airdrie

I am 19 and in my second year studying Dentistry at Edinburgh University. I live at home with my parents, and I am free to work in the evenings and at weekends. I like to read, play guitar and play badminton in my spare time.

I am a very friendly individual, with a fun & calming nature.
I love looking after kids, as I have done with my younger brother and cousins and feel I am able to keep them entertained through reading to them, playing games and generally just having fun.
In secondary school, I took part in the paired reading scheme where I helped a first year girl, who had difficulty reading, to gradually develop her reading skills throughout the year.
I also took part in the peer mentoring scheme which involved spending time with troubled/lonely kids in younger years, helping them with classwork and make them feel comfortable in the school setting.
In the summer of 2012, I achieved a Dynamic Youth Award for helping out at a summer school programme. This involved helping the kids build on their team working skills and build their confidence for starting high school after summer.

I pride myself on having good time-keeping and organisation skills, as well as being an all round motivated individual. I am exceptionally hard working and will set out to succeed in any tasks given to me.
