Laurence David, occasional childcare in Reading

Hello! My name is Laurence and I'm a recent graduate of Yale University in the USA –– but Reading, Berks, born and raised. I went to Reading School next to the Royal Berks for secondary school, and Hemdean House in Caversham before that. I am now home for the summer before returning to work in the US this autumn.

I'm looking for flexible babysitting and childcare work. I'm from a big family (parents have 10 siblings between them) and grew up looking after children from newborns to tweens.

While at Yale, I was employed by my College Dean as a First-Year Counselor for new incoming students. This entailed residential care round the clock for all students – and though they were 18 year-olds, you'd be surprised how much attention and support they needed to stay afloat! I'm kind, empathetic, and good at helping others open up.

I've studied and practiced drama for many years, and am full of fun and games to entertain children of all ages! I'm fluent in French (grew up speaking it) and would be happy to speak or teach this at any level, spoken and written. I'm also proficient in Mandarin Chinese and am able to teach the basics of the language, tones, and calligraphy. I've also studied music and am personally very athletic. I'm confident I'd be able to deliver the care you and your child need, at a moment's notice!
