I have considerable experience of working with children in a variety of settings. In the past I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in primary schools, supporting children with their learning and those with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. This required me to work closely with SENCO, the children's parents and other professionals, and to make detailed assessments of needs. My ability to communicate with parents effectively was key in bringing about positive changes for these children.
I consider myself to be an intuitive, sensitive and perceptive person who is able to identify behavioural patterns in children. I believe in positive discipline, recognising the value of praising children's efforts and achievements. I understand each child is an individual and learns in their own unique way.

I currently work at Warwickshire College at the Learning Support Centre. Prior to this I worked for Chapter 1, supporting young homeless people, aged 16-35, in a hostel environment. Part of this role required me to work at our mother and baby unit, supporting young single mothers, demonstrating parenting skills and promoting independent living.

In addition, I have also raised my own daughter who is now 21. I was brought up in a big family with a lot of young brothers and sisters and helped my mother to raise them.

I love working with children, i feel they respond well to me and trust me. I find it rewarding and inspirational. I can relate to children and can build strong and trusting relationships. I am reliable and hardworking, . I have recently been on safeguarding training and I have an up to date DBS check. I am approachable, outgoing and personable, and embrace the challenges and rewards working with children brings.

I am currently working Tuesdays to Fridays at Warwickshire College. I am available, Mondays, all other evenings, weekends and during school holidays, as I only work term-time. I live in Leamington Spa and I am looking to work in this area. I live in Leamington Spa and I am looking to work in the area.
