Laura, occasional childcare in Sutton coldfield B73

Hi! My name is Laura. I'm 20 years old and I'm a qualified level 3 nursery nurse. I am currently learning to drive. I have an up to date DBS, and also certificates in first aid, health and safety and food hygiene. I'm really passionate about working with children and love to see the changes to their learning and development that I can make whilst having fun. I believe that it is important that children feel comfortable and safe around any caregiver and I feel that I am approachable and have a warm, caring attitude that'll make the children feel at ease around me.
I have had experiences with children aged 7 months-6 years. I have also had experience with working with children who have autism.
I enjoy doing quite arty and crafts based activities with children such as making playdoh, making sock puppets, baking, cutting and sticking, painting and so on. I would also be happy to do sporty things (although I may not be very good!). Within every activity I plan I will include links to learning; for example - when making playdoh children have the opportunity to weigh the ingredients promoting mathematical development, they have the opportunity to use their fine and gross motor skills when mixing the dough promoting physical development, they can see how playdoh is made promoting their intellectual development and it'll require team work and turn taking/sharing which promotes social development. While all this learning and development is going on, it'll also be loads of fun!
