Kitty, occasional childcare - SG6 Letchworth

Hello! I am a 20 year old female, currently on my summer holidays; for most of the year I am in Leicester studying geography at university.

I have been babysitting for local families for five years, looking after children of most ages from 18 months to 12 years, primarily doing the night-time routine and putting kids to bed.

However, most of my childcare experience was gained during my gap year when I spent nine months as a live-in au pair, looking after three children aged 9 months (boy), 5yrs, and 8yrs (girls). I loved everything about my time as an au pair, especially getting to know the kids and organising fun activities for them, such as baking, arts and crafts, treasure hunts, and outdoor games so I already have a wealth of tried-and-tested kids' activities to draw upon! I would also help them with homework, prepare their supper, put them to bed, and do some housework. I would prepare bottles for the baby, change his nappy, prepare food and feed him, and put him to bed. I am more than happy to complete any of these roles when working for your family. I was often the only adult in the house and therefore have plenty of experience caring for younger children and have developed skills to deal with some of the unforeseen problems that can arise when looking after young, active children and babies!
