Katherine, occasional childcare in Southend-on-sea

My full name is Katherine Hester , I'm 18 years young and currently studying Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Brighton. However, I am based in Eastbourne. By others, I am a trustworthy and kind-hearted person, who will always put the safety and needs of others before my own. I come from a stable background and due to my upbringing in 3 different countries, I am very open-minded and culturally diverse.

In the past, I worked with children/adults with disabilities ranging from: autism to down-syndrome in a group called 'Best Buddies', where we would eat lunch with them and participate in enjoyable sporting and team building activities with them as well - allowing them to feel a sense of closeness.

As I became older, for 2 consecutive years I became a helper at a school summer camp. The first year, I worked with children at the ages 9-11 and in the second year, I worked with children at the ages of 4-6. The camp was only a week long each time, however, myself and others were there to provide the children's parents a sense that their children were falling into safe hands.

The last experience I had was a babysitting job. I looked after 3 children twice a week for 2 and 1/2 hours each time. The oldest child was aged 4, the other 3 and the youngest, 3 months old. Bearing in mind, I was only 17 years young and I had school/homework to attend to as well. It was a tough, but a very rewarding job. Therefore, I can show true dedication and time management. The children were excited to see me and I was proud to see them grow and develop as I cared for them each time.
