Casey, occasional childcare - TN9 Tonbridge

Hi my name is Casey and I have just finished school at Bennett memorial. I hope to resume next year for 6th form.

I know you are probably expecting someone older but with my experience being a 16 year old as I am. I have been able to engage much more with the children living in their time and knowing how to occupy them with creative activities.

I have done babysitting jobs recently which I have been asked back to. I love looking after children as its connected to my dream job of becoming a primary school teacher,

Last year I did a weeks work experience at St Georges nursery in Tunbridge wells. I loved it so much and I learned skills that I can use for life . My confidence increased over the time period I was there for and I engaged myself with the children more and more.

I have also helped with holiday clubs in Paddock wood creating activities for the children and helping them complete them.

Coming from a deaf family I have also connected with deaf children. This was a good experience and I soon learned quickly on the difference between how hearing and deaf children act.

I can speak sign language which was helpful as I was able to interact with the deaf children and it gave me a sense of achievement as they had someone younger who was able to communicate with them.

I would say I'm a bubbly character full of energy and very enthuastaic towards any jobs I receive .
I always try and make the children happy by mixing up activities such as one evening dancing another evening colouring and reading stories.

I guess I don't have a lot of experience with practising games. However I feel you don't need practise as I have learnt and know of different games I could play and I would research new ones along the way.
