Angela, occasional childcare - W12 Goldhawk road

Hi,

My name is Angela, I'm 25 years old and from Australia. I have been living and working in London for the past year. I currently work as a learning support assistant for a 5 year old boy with Autism in year 1. I have been in this role since October last year. However, as of November this year I will be a teaching assistant in nursery. My job as an LSA has included: providing targeted support outside the classroom, develop social/emotional skills, to encourage participation in structured and unstructured learning activities and prepare and support the use of learning materials.

Before I worked at this primary school I was studying Dental Technology and worked as a babysitter in the evenings and on weekends. I cared for children aged between 5 months and 13 years. During my days as a babysitter I would also do light housework such as tidying up and ironing.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children and plan on becoming a primary school teacher.
