Hi,
I'm currently on a break from uni where I've been studying Psychology in Education. I don't currently hold a full drivers license but I'm learning. I'm looking for part-time work and/or babysitting.
I have a wide range of experience looking after children and young people at many different ages including:
- Being a Beaver Leader and occasionally a Cub/Scout leader (including camps with all three ages) for seven years.
- Babysitting for the past seven years (children aged zero to fourteen)
- Nannying for the past three years for two boys who were three and five when I first started looking after them. I did all sorts with them, including, but not limited to, baking, playing with Lego, visiting museums, having friends over, going on walks and bike rides, visiting the library and making lots of loom band creations. I had/have them during the holidays but due to parental separation I'm not needed as much as I used to be, which was three/four days a week. I cooked for them, too, when the parents requested it.
- Student Ambassador when at uni, working with people aged eleven to adult, including three residentials with seventeen year-olds and one with fifteen year-olds.
- Being a Toy Shop Assistant in Wetherby for a number of years.
I'm a quick learner and up to helping out with anything and everything you might need doing. I'm an able cook and can clean and do general household work. I love anything creative whether it be Lego, Hama Beads, or junk modelling. I love how inquisitive children can be and enjoy helping them to explore the world around them.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Naomi
Occasional babysitting | $6.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $7.30 per hour |
Babysitting: Children are normally asleep for part of it, so I don't think it's fair to charge a day rate.
Part-time care: Minimum wage with holiday included in the hourly rate (because of the nature of the work, working out holiday would be impossible!) works out at around £7.20-30 an hour.
In my previous job, I got paid £70 per day (8:30-5ish, but sometimes came in earlier and left later), which works out a little higher than this, but I believe tey were very generous.
