My husband and I live in a village 5 minutes drive from Falkirk with our 2 children (girl aged 6 and boy aged 7). We have a nice, easy-going lifestyle and the children both go to the local primary school.
We both work in Edinburgh Monday to Friday and we require childcare for Monday to Friday from 7.30am until school drop-off at 9.00am and then from school pick up 3.15pm until 5.45pm. We also require full-time childcare during some school holidays, particularly the summer holidays. Must have own car as you will be required to take the children to some activities and it will be required for outings on school holidays. Other duties will include children's laundry, tidying kitchen/children's bedrooms, helping with homework, preparing meals (must have reasonable cooking skills). Must have previous childcare experience and references and be registered to receive childcare vouchers or willing to seek registration. Ideally this will be a long term position until the children go to high school.
Formal start date is Wednesday 4th January although it would be good if we could fit in some odd hours from 12th December to allow you, us and the children to get to know each other.
Salary £11, 000 (gross). Statutory holidays (half taken at same time as us the other half of your choice (to be honest, you will have other ad hoc days off or reduced days due to the nature of our own jobs).
