Due to our current childcare falling through we are urgently looking for a nanny to work four days a week (Monday – Thursday) broadly on a term time contract starting in January 2022 (as I am a teacher we do not need childcare in the school holidays). Hours would likely be 8am to 5pm.
Monday would be looking after both Euan and Lottie, whereas Tuesday to Thursday Euan would be attending pre-school (in Thames Ditton). His hours are 9:15 to 3:45 and we would want a nanny to be able to drop him off and collect him at these times. Whilst a relatively local nursery it is around a 1.5 mile walk so you would need access to your own car to take him (with Lottie in the car) to drop off and collection. Where possible, Dan will try to drop Euan off in the morning if he is working from home, but it will not always be possible depending on his meetings.
During the days where you just have Lottie, we would like her to experience a range of different developmental activities, for example, messy play, music, story time etc. We would also like her to be taken outside not only to parks but also for other trips such as baby classes. We look forward to hearing about your ideas for a baby of her age and what things have worked well for you in the past.
When both Euan and Lottie are at home, as well as the above for Lottie, we would like you to focus on core developmental skills for Euan, such as helping him with writing, phonics, reading, numbers and crafts. We have also found they both enjoy outings together so we would hope they would also be taken out for trips in the local area.
During the week you would need to provide the children with three meals a day. With home cooked food for lunch and dinner and cereal for breakfast (on the days Euan is at pre-school we will provide him with a packed lunch). As Lottie has a 2-hour nap at lunch we would hope you would be able to cook during this period. We aren’t wanting additional cleaning to be done but would expect the house to be tidy at the end of the day with toys tidied away.
I have very fond memories of nannies from my childhood, and I am still in contact with some of them. We are therefore very much looking forward to developing a similar relationship with the right person for our family.
