Francesca, OFSTED childminder in Exminster EX6

My name is Francesca and I would like to welcome you to Little Bears Childminding. I live in Exminster with my husband, James, who works as an Architectural Technologist and son who was born in early 2016. We moved to Exminster from Torquay in 2015 and really love the village life.

I have always been creative and completed a BA Fine Art degree in 2007. Since then, I have completed commissioned artworks and illustrations for clients (and still do) and have worked in galleries and art centres. Most recently, I worked for an educational art charity where we provided schools with art workshops lead by arts professionals. Within this role, I also gained experience with organising, designing and setting up art and craft workshops and activities for children.

This, alongside loving looking after my son, has led me to setting up as a childminder where I will provide lots of activities for children which will focus on the seven areas of learning set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage:

Emotional, social and personal development; physical development and healthy eating; communication and language; mathematics; literature; expressive arts and design and understanding the world.

My relevant qualifications include: Introduction to Childminding; Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Awareness.

I am passionate about providing a safe, caring and inspiring learning environment where children can grow in confidence, happiness and develop new skills.
