Born and raised in the Shetland Islands, but now living on the mainland near Lanark, I am 20 years old and looking to gain more experience working with children.
I have finished my second year at the University of Stirling and I will return to commence my third year in September 2018. My degree is in French and Marketing.
For the past two months, I have been working in France as an English Language Assistant in primary schools. My role is to assist the teacher in giving the children English lessons, but more importantly to give them an insight into British and Scottish culture. I have thoroughly enjoyed the work and would love to continue working with children, as it brings me a lot of joy and pleasure. I have prepared several powerpoints and games to show the pupils, which has worked very well in engaging them and encouraging them to learn and speak English. I enjoy doing crafts with the children as I have a qualification in Art & Design.
I have worked for organisations such as H&M, Specsavers, Tesco and Visit Scotland. I have managed to accumulate a range of work-based skills as well as soft skills when working in direct contact with the public.
I am available everyday from the beginning of December to babysit or provide part-time care. I am more than happy to help children with school work, as I often help my younger sister with her's.
As a person, I am incredibly efficient and have exceptionally high personal and work standards. Therefore I would do my absolute best to care for your children. My family and friends would describe me as kind, loyal, caring, passionate, driven and hard working. These are all qualities which, in my opinion, would make me a very suitable childminder for your children.
Occasional babysitting | $11.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $10.00 per hour |
Childminder | $3.20 per hour |
I have worked in the retail sector for several years in different organisations, the rate of pay in these companies is often just above the national living wage for my age group. For this reason, I would like to earn at least equal to this, but preferably more.
I have a full UK driving licence and I am willing to travel, therefore I feel that the rate of pay should reflect this.
