Deborah, OFSTED childminder in Spennymoor DL16

my name is Deborah . I am looking to support parents with any age of children either in there home , collecting them from school or if needed my home or any other specific needs the family may have. as a childcare professional i am a good role model, firm but fair and have good sense of humour which is vital I feel when working with children and young people. I am non judgemental, calm, caring, good listener, not afraid to get down and get dirty and have fun with children. I am very reliable, honest excellent customer service skills when dealing with the public.

i have worked with children and young people for about 10 years. I have level 3 in early years and education and youth work. Also level 3 CACHE in special needs and safe guarding. I was a lead worker for 7 years planning all my own activities, collecting resources, key holder, managing my own finances, working alongside various external agencies such as police, safe guarding team, GP , school nurses etc. i have worked in nurseries, out of schools. and was a chef this year for Kids Active. I worked at the Bishop Barrington school teaching young people about healthy eating, cooking skills, food hygiene, and safety in the kitchen and obtaining all my own resources to a set budget.

I have done lots of activities with children such as arts and crafts, residential trips, sport, drama, music. Also enjoy doing fund raising with children and young people I ran a litter pick with children , staff and volunteers and raised £2, 400 for children in need. other fund raising I have helped to run are coffee mornings, market stalls, events and much more.
