Vicky, OFSTED childminder in Sprotbrough DN5

My name is Vicky and i am Vicky Jayne Daycare. I live on Anchorage Crescent Sprotbrough with My husband Lee, my daughter Amelia (1) and our little dog Honey (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel)
As a family we love to be active and outdoors, it maybe in the garden or out and about no mater what the weather. We love days out to feed the ducks or to play at the park.
I have just recently taken the step into childcare, before this i worked for a small electrical company in Doncaster for 11 years and whist i did enjoy my job having Amelia has made me see that this is now what i want to do. I have always loved being around children and entertaining them. I was a dancer for 18 years and during that time i took on teaching on Saturdays. The ages of the children ranged from 3-15 and i loved every minute of this. I have helped out in schools and taken external dance classes for children since then. It gave me a great sense of pride to see the children improve even though i only played a very small part of their improvement. i have just never had the confidence to take the step of career change but after having Amelia i realised that i did not want to miss a day of her growing up and made the decision to become a child minder and gained the confidence to take the step. As a child minder I understand the importance of providing a safe, learning environment for children to flourish, whist as a mummy i understand the need to provide a home from home environment which will allow the children to feel secure and happy. This is what i am all about in my childcare provision. I will endeavor to provide a service which will support and nurture your child's learning whist creating a caring home environment. You as a parent know your child better then anyone else and its vital that you have as much input as possible into how your child is cared for, therefore parent liaison is most important.
We have converted our conservatory into the playroom and this overlooks our garden which provides excellent space for the children to explore. I have a separate bedroom where the little ones can sleep on the bed or in the cot without being disturbed by the others. They will be visible on the monitor so i can keep an eye on them at all times. I have a large range of toys and equipment available for children to choose from and child initiated learning is encouraged from the start. Learning through play leads to happy children.
