Hello, my name is Ashleigh I am 22. I first started taking an interest in this career path when I left school to pursue childcare. I started a learning and development course at Lancaster and Morecambe college. I thoroughly enjoyed my course, written and practical. My two placements took place at Busybees Nursery and Westgate Primary School. I loved both placements very much and soon realised that this was the path I wanted to follow. Seeing a child succed in their homework or simply succed in finishing a puzzle, Is extremely rewarding to be apart of. Also seeing the child happy and proud of theirselves that they've completed something is also rewarding to see. I am open to various child care roles. As a childcarer I think it is important to interact, communicate and play alongside a child. As well as playing with a child it is also just as important to let a child have their own independence. Games should be about learning as well as fun. I myself am a loyal, reliable, trustworthy character, with a bubbly, kind and caring personality. As well as experience at college I also have a very large family and friend group and have grown up with children all around me. Personally I think looking after family and my friends children is a brilliant way to gain experience. I would love the opportunity to look after someone's child/ren and be apart of their childhood and learning development.
