Hello, I am 24 years old and a registered Dental nurse, currently work office hours in a dental surgery in Brunsfield. I have always worked in the caring professions.

In my personal life I have always provided help and support for my brother who is a young adult with severe learning disabilities, autism, and absence seizure type epilepsy.
I have also provided care for him to allow my parents to have respite breaks

In my professional life I’ve had the privilege of caring for and supporting children with a wide range of additional needs in a nursery setting.

As a carer in a Nursing home for 5 years I have extensive experience of providing care for older people with both physical and cognitive impairment including dementia. I received an award from the nursing staff in the care home for providing an outstanding level of care during the pandemic.
These experiences have taught me patience, resilience, and understanding, as well as the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment.
It’s given me a deep appreciation of the challenges service-users and their families face, and a genuine commitment to helping them feel valued, included, and cared for.
