Tracey, professional childminder in Airdrie

Hi, my name is Tracey (nee MacDonald) I have been a very busy registered childminder for 6 years.

I live in the Barratt estate fairly central at the back of the Rushes, not far from the train station (5 mins in car) and exits to Glasgow /Cumbernauld/Edinburgh.

I have lived here with my family for 7 years. I have a 50 foot enclosed garden, and I live a 5 minute walk from forest walks and 3 swing park areas.

I have my own son who is 9years old and attends the local gaelic school and we have Hunter our lovely German Shepherd who loves the children to throw his ball or give him cuddles.

My service it is fun, safe, welcoming and very educational. The key to our day is to have flexibility and lots of opportunities, so we try to be out and about doing lots of activities to keep those little bodies and minds active.

Working closely with parents I strive to build a warm, friendly environment which is very much home from home, with parents and children able to contribute to our day - parent participation is vital as you are the children's main educators so it's great to get you involved in our days .

I have a new 7 seater car that is fully equipped with car seats etc, and we love to jump in the car to Palacerigg to see the animals, to Summerlee for the trams and tractors, or Drumpellier to feed the ducks. We also make use of all the other fun activities for after school such as basketball, BMX track etc.

When it's wet, we love to read, paint, dance/sing, dress up and learn lots of new things which is all detailed and tracked for parents.

I am qualified and fully trained with up to date insurance, first aid and child protection. I also keep my training up to date working closely with the North Lanarkshire Childcare Team and SCSWIS.
