Lade, professional childminder in Canterbury

Hello! I’m Ade, a Level 3 qualified and Ofsted-registered home-based childminder based in Canterbury. I have two daughters, aged 9 and 6, and I’m an auntie to eleven nieces and nephews (and plenty of great-nieces and great-nephews!). With my large, loving family and years of experience, I truly understand the importance of providing children with a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment.

I offer a home-from-home setting where children can play, explore, and learn. My approach to childcare is grounded in the belief that each child deserves to grow emotionally, physically, and intellectually at their own pace. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines, providing a variety of fun and educational activities that engage all areas of learning, from creative arts to early literacy and numeracy.

I offer a variety of resources, including a spacious indoor play area and a large outdoor garden, equipped with a playhouse, sandpit, chalkboard, and mud kitchen. I enjoy taking the children out into the local community—visiting libraries, parks, woodland trails, and more! We also have memberships to Wildwood Trust, National Trust Parks, and English Heritage, so there’s always an exciting adventure ahead.

I keep parents informed daily with photos and updates about their child’s progress. I also provide sleepovers for parents who work night shifts. Above all, I’m committed to providing a high standard of care and continually update my knowledge through training and professional development.
