My Name is Emma and I'm an OFSTED Registered Childminder since 2010.
I live in Walkwood on the circular bus route bus number 47/48 which stops a few meters from my house. I live in a large end of terrace house with my husband, my 2 children and 3 guinea pigs. Our setting has its own dedicated entrance, cloakroom, toilet/wet room, playroom and newly renovated craft room and an enclosed secure garden with CCTV.
My setting garden area is safe and secure for outdoor play with table and chairs, trampolines, ride on toys, Sand pit, Slide, Paddling pools (weather permitting), mud kitchen, Pop up tents and tunnels. The children have access to this all day long and can come and go as they please.
I am Ofsted registered, have had a CRB check and hold full Public Liability Insurance. I am English speaking, a non smoker, hold a full UK passport and a full UK drivers license. I have my own 7 seated car, fully insured for business use, breakdown cover and fitted with appropriate child car seats.
I had my most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2023 and was graded “Good” again. You can see my Ofsted report online.

Childminder | $7.50 per hour |
I charge a set daily rate (8am till 4pm) of £60 Term time only. I am closed during school holidays where NO FEES WILL APPLY. - All funded hours will be deducted accordingly.
FUNDED HOURS
15 hours funding childcare
Monday 12.00 pm until 3.00 pm
Tuesday 12.00 pm until 4.00 pm
Wednesday 12.00 pm until 4.00 pm
Thursday 12.00 pm until 4.00 pm
30 hours funding childcare
Monday 8.30 am until 4.00 pm
Tuesday 8.30 am until 4.00 pm
Wednesday 8.30 am until 4.00 pm
Thursday 8.30 am until 4.00 pm
If your child is here part time and you would like to increase your days to enable you to claim the full 30 hours, it would depend on availability and my ratios at that time. I cannot guarantee that I will have the full 30 hours available.
Although the hourly rates offered by funding differ between each age range, at the moment they are all more or less in line with my hourly rate and so, no additional fees will be applied for under 2 years. However, this will be reviewed on a regular basis and should this change I may have to amend my policy to either increase my own fees or charge a sustainability fee. This is so that I can keep my business viable and also continue to provide all of the fun outdoor activities such as playgroups, soft play and also have funds for craft, resources, etc.
All 3 & 4 year olds will need to pay a sustainability contribution of £1.50 per hour (subject to change) for every funded hour claimed through me.
(Please note, offering funding in my setting is completely voluntary and at my discretion. Funding from the local council is purely for the education of your child, everything else that makes a home from home setting is provided by me personally. To enable me to offer these hours and keep my business viable, I will ask for a sustainability contribution from each funded 3 & 4 year old children. This goes towards the cost of food, household consumables, trips out, memberships, travel and all the other exciting adventures we embark on together. It will help towards maintaining a successful and quality business whilst still giving you, the parent a highly discounted rate on some if not all your required hours)
How to pay
You will receive an invoice stating contracted hours. These are payable in advance weekly.
You may pay by online bank transfer and our bank account details are included on your invoice.
