I became a registered childminder in 1996. I joined the quality assured network in 2002 and became Accredited (Specialist Childminder in Early Learning/ Funded Childminder) in 2003. I am committed to the overarching principles of Early Years Foundation Stage and to continuous professional development. We have 2 sons and live in a semi-detached house with an enclosed garden. Musbury is a small village in the heart of the Axe Valley, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, .

The children’s Day. We establish routines surrounding meals, naps, free play and Activities include early literacy activities such as letters and sounds and stories; Early numeracy activities such as puzzles, Numicon, threading, and other number, shape and measure activities; Art and design includes mark making, paint, pens, pencils, cutting and sticking and dough; Music and movement, songs, rhymes and musical instruments; Role play and dressing up; Small worlds and construction including doll’s houses, a castle with knights and all kinds and sizes of wheeled toys; Understanding the world includes completing the daily weather chart and days of the week at circle time. We have lots of soft toys, dolls, tents and a home corner for play cooking and shopping. The children like to cook, bake bread and learn about healthy food. In the enclosed rear garden there are large wheeled toys, a small play house and a climbing frame, as well as sand and water and all manner of messy play. There is an enclosed playing field nearby with a large climbing frame, climbing wall, swings, balances and a full size football pitch.
