Education;

I attended the Maelor high school Penley, there I recieved all the following GCSE grades:

English lit B
English language C
ICT distinction
Science C

RE C

I was a student at colleg Cambria in Wrexham studying BTEC Uniformed public services, level 3 course.
I recieved a distinction level on the course.

Work experience;

I did work experience in 3 places for the duration of two weeks; I attended ‘ground work’ in tanyfron, which consisted of working with disabled people in alun waters and also painting and architectural work for 3 days, then I went on to do a full week in the courts in Wrexham, which was really interesting as I got to watch various cases and got to experience the atmosphere in a court and learn how to photocopy and do filing. Then for my last placement I went to a primary school, because I really enjoy working with children so I enjoyed that experience for the 3 days I was there.

Skills;

I do lots of activities outside of college such as, netball, freestyle wrestling, Thai boxing, I also often go to the gym. I compete in freestyle wrestling competitions at a high level and in the past have represented team GB. I would describe myself as a loyal and outgoing person; I love anything that involves sport or being outside. I have various skills, I am good at communicating with others cause I listen and I am quite confident to talk to others, also good at working with others, I’m a very sociable person, so I’d rather work with other people than work on my own. I also have experience in working in a restaurant washing dishes and waiting on, and also done shop work, so I can use tills.

previous jobs;

I have previously been employed in a restaurant being a waitress and working behind a bar, there I developed communication skills, knowing how to work with the public, and I enjoy socialising and satisfying other people. I have also worked in a shop as a sales assistant, I learned how to use tills and co-operate with customers, this improved my confidence alot. I have also previously worked at Tesco as a stock control assistant, there I learnt how to use computers into more detail and also counting the stock and doing reductions. I enjoy working as part of a team. My current job now is a childminder for a woman with two children, I look after the dog aswell, and clean. I have learnt many skills whilst doing this job and also taught many to the children. A very rewarding job seeing the children learn and develop new skills.

I would say my strengths are that I have very good communication skills as I am a friendly person, I am a confident person and deal well with any confrontation. I enjoy working hard and making sure that I don't fail at things, as failure is not something I like to happen. I am very good at time management, making sure i'm early for things. Very sporty person, and like to do team sports, because I work well in a team, and very motivational.

I have many hobbies.. I used to compete in Olympic Freestyle Wrestling, I have previously wrestled for Wales, and Wrexham where I used to live. I did a lot of travelling with that and went to Canada and got offered a scholarship at a university out there. travelling is something I love, I have definitely got the travelling bug. I like doing anything active. Netball is a sport I have played a lot of. I have a passion for fitness, Plus I also like helping people, I am a confident person and like to talk, I think I have a friendly approach and therefore thats ticking the boxes already. But I am a hard worker and so will always give 100% and not be a letdown.
