Presentation

Hello everyone,
My name is Hayleigh Sims and I am 27 years old. My partner and I are looking to move to Somerset in the near future. We will be purchasing a home with some land, so that we can build a purpose-built childcare setting on site (at our home.) This has been a dream of mine since I started working with children at aged 13!
I have worked with children from aged newborn all the way up to secondary aged young people. I have specialised in supporting children with Special Educational Needs, ran my own autistic centre within a nursery, I have babysat frequently, I am a respite carer on the weekends, I have been a room leader for both a baby room and a preschool room and covered in schools as additional support.
I have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Supporting Learning in Schools, I have my Paediatric First Aid and many other child development based quals (all certificates available for viewing.)
I would be happy to become Ofsted registered once my childcare service has been set up, and am always willing to do undertake any additional training that a parent/carer requires.
I am very proactive with the children and am EXTREMELY passionate about the high level of care that I provide. A weekly plan will be put into place with activity and trip ideas and a 'typical' routine (however I will follow the instructions of the parents if the child is already in a specific routine at home.) I would be more than happy to provide the children with healthy meals that I have prepared throughout the day as part of the service, (a menu will be available for the parents/carers, alternatively parents can make their own packed lunches.) I would write daily diaries for the children in my care so that you can share with them what they have been up to during the day. My setting would be like a nursery but on a smaller more intimate scale.
Education is very important to me but I am a very very strong believer of learning through play and nurture. I am a very loving person and looking after babies and children is my calling, I love to plan, play, take care of and support the little ones I look after.
This new lifestyle and making the 'dream' a reality will allow us to have our own children in the future, whilst still allowing me to work and offer my childcare services to others as well as my own growing family.
Although it will be a professional service I offer I would love to see the families I work with as extended family and friends to ourselves. Having a relationship with each other is vital, and also would be very enjoyable as we will not know anyone in the area. I have been in touch with a couple of other childminders in the area (who are full, ) and have made connections in order to find out about the places in and around the area that the children and I can visit, make arrangements for play dates together and just to network.
I love the outdoors, nature, art, animals, messy play, baking, cooking, creating, physical activities, fun and educational games, role play and make believe etc etc and I intend to incorporate all of this into the care and education the children receive from me.
I would prefer to start with 3 children of a similar age so that the activities I do are relevant, appropriate and enjoyable for all of the children - and although I have worked with all age groups I have specialised more within the Early Years age group (0 - 6 years.) There is always room for expansion depending on what happens, but I am not doing this to make a profit - I am doing this for a lifestyle which best suits us and to do what I love and what I am best at.

We are aiming for this to happen by Jan 2018 (I know this seems a long way away, ) but this gives us time to find an area and a home, get prepared for my miniature nursery including the build and the resources, it ill give us time to meet people and for my partner to find a new job in Somerset. This may suit parents who are trying for a baby and looking to find the perfect carer when the time is right, it may be a parent on maternity leave or who is pregnant, somebody else moving to the area with young children... but anyone who is interested in talking this through or wants to meet with me I would be more than happy to :)

I have not got any prices at the moment as I need to research the area, find out what services are needed and what that includes, the hours of work and the ages and needs of the children, and also the prices of similar services.

Thank you very much and I look forward to hearing from you.
