As my attached resume shows, I have plenty of experience working with young children.
In addition to volunteering in an Early Years Classroom during my Early Years Education Ba(Hons) studies, I have worked in a play-based setting. This experience and the fact that I have experience with younger family members, has helped me develop exceptional child caring skills.
I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I have good organisational and communication skills, as evidenced through my employment as a Receptionist, which I believe are highly important skills for a nanny.
My university placement has afforded me opportunity to assume lesson planning, behavioural management, parental involvement, and organisational responsibilities in a school setting. I have volunteered in the reception classroom of a Primary School for three years. I enjoy the challenges of working with Early Years pupils, as they familiarise themselves with schooling. I feel the formative early years are the most crucial to a child’s development.
I am currently studying for MSc at the University of Essex in Colchester to become an Educational Psychologist, and would prefer to provide childcare support in this area. However, I would consider the Rochford area, which I commute to regularly.
