My name is Julie and I am a fully qualified nursery nurse and a Care Inspectorate registered childminder. I have been running my childminding service, Twinkle Stars Childcare, since November 2011. I am registered with SCMA.
I live in the Duloch area of Dunfermline with my husband and daughter, who attends St Margaret's primary school.
In addition to being a fully qualified nursery nurse, I am also a trained Bookbug leader and a committee member for Dunfermline and Rosyth Childminding Group.
My home is semi-detached with an enclosed garden area and playhouse. We have a large range of toys, books and games to suit a variety of ages and I often get together with other childminders for various outings.
Whenever possible we enjoy getting out and about, with outings to the beach, play park, forest walks, picnics, the deer centre, the national museum, and we have even been to a few shows at the Edinburgh fringe.
I often arrange play dates with friends who have children or with other childminders who are caring for children of a similar age. This works well, especially during school holidays when we are out and about a lot.
