Edyta, registered childminder - LE1 Leicester

Hi! My name is Edyta and I am 25 years old. I was born in Poland but since the age of 17 lived in the Great Britain. Short after coming here I have decided to start working with young children. I become a trainee nursery nurse as an apprentice. In 2012 decided to go to university, where I have completed Foundation Degree in Working with Children and their Families, and then progressing even further and completing my degree and achieving BA (Hons) Level 6 in Integrated Working with Children and Families. The most recent qualifications which I gained are one of the biggest educational achievements in life as now I am a qualified Early Years Teacher (Post Graduate Certificate –PGC) achieved in Pen Green and a Forest School leader. I also completed many CPD trainings with many of early childhood pioneers including: Alister Bryce Clegg and Di Chilvers, as well as Designated Safeguarding, First Aid and Food Hygiene. The knowledge gained from my studies allow me understand concepts of early childhood development as I have studied the work of Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, Albert Bandura, Burrhus Skinner and many more.

In my work experience, I have worked full-time with children for 7 years as I have worked in nurseries and primary school in Reception class and with children with SEN. Overall, I worked with children from birth up to the age of 5. Moreover, as a Forest School leader I run forest school activities for preschool children from the nursery of my current employment.

Previously, in summer holidays I took on a job as a nanny/housekeeper. I provided care and learning opportunities for two lovely young boys as well as I took great care for a house of my employers. I do occasional evenings and weekends babysitting.

I am very hard working, loyal and trustworthy individual with passion toward working with young children. The area of my expertise lies with the concept of outdoor learning and physical activity, as I am a strong believer that children learn by being free and active. Even in my free time I often run, go to a gym or camping.
