I provide a professional and reliable childcare service which is flexible to allow you to work knowing your child is in a safe, fun and interactive environment. I provide children with attention, comfort and the ability to contribute and make an influence to their own lives. I won’t just care for your child, I will provide them with experiences to expand their horizons, encourage them to achieve their best and become a happy and confident member of the community. I aim to provide a home away from home for children, allowing them to transition easily between their home life and childcare.

What I Provide:

– Childminding for children between the ages of 4 months and 16 years.
– Day care ranging from full time to only a few hours a week, as well as pre/post school, and wrap around care for children attending school or nursery.
– Drop off and pick up service for children at Cleland Primary School and St. Mary’s Primary and Nursery School in Cleland.
– Healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for children.
– Routine outings and day trips to provide new experiences and celebrate special or seasonal events.

About Me, My Home and My Family

I am a mother to my two children, Sandy (4) and Roslyn (2) and live in Cleland with my husband, Stuart. I studied history at University before working with students and then with school aged children within the heritage sector. Inspired by childminders within my family, and driven to continue to work with children in a home setting, I decided to become a childminder, bringing my own experience as a mother to a new vocation.

Our home provides an ideal childminding setting with a large living room, dedicated playroom and large, enclosed garden. Cleland provides opportunities for outings to the local play park, library and shops, as well as woodland walks . I own a car and take children on routine outings to engage with everyday life within North Lanarkshire such as trips to the larger playparks, country parks, nature reserves, soft play centres and shops.

Qualifications

Fully registered childminder with the Care Inspectorate.
BA (Hons), M.Res.
SCMA Member; SCMA Induction for Childminders and 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Trained (Expt 2016).
PVG Scheme Member and Enhanced Disclosure Scotland Checked
