Personal Statement

I have a strong work ethic and have worked in part time employment from being 14 years old and have showed a level of commitment in whichever role I do. I am punctual and have an exceptional attendance record both in work and school. I possess important qualities for an employer such as honesty and loyalty. I can work under my initiative and enjoy working as part of a team; I mix and make friends at work well with a variety of different people and ages. I am currently studying A Levels with a view to go on to further education or to take up an apprenticeship.

Employment History

Play Worker, The Chill Zone Limited, Avondale Primary School, Darwen
(September 2016 – Present)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the planning, preparing and delivering of play within a safe environment
• Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities and club events
• Ensuring the children are safeguarded and any concerns regarding a child’s welfare are dealt with through the correct procedures
• Facilitating good communication with parents, schools and childcare related agencies
• Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene and health and safety standards are met
• Administering First Aid where required

Glass collector and Waitress, The Spread Eagle, Mellor
(May 2015- August 2016)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Respond positively to a customers requests and ensure their requirements are passed to the appropriate person immediately
• Ensure all public areas are clean and tidy during service
• Collect plates and glasses and return to the respective cleaning zones
• Assisting the team to deliver an excellent service

Hobbies & Interests

I am an outgoing person and enjoy socialising and going out with my friends: for example going to festivals. I am fortunate enough to travel often with my family and go skiing once a year, which I have done since I was 5. I am also part of the DACA netball academy and train twice a week, alongside training at the gym 3-4 times a week. I am a family orientated person and like to spend time with my close family and friends frequently.
