Work history.
I have had a wide variety of experience in working in a childcare setting. This had been set up for me throughout my college courses over the past 2 and a half years. I have been placed with children from the ages of 2-9 years old in which I was to carry out a range of duties due to the age differences in the different settings. I have also been placed with young babies from 4 months+, the duties I carried out here was to feed, change and put the babies to sleep.

Brackla Primary School – Assistant – September 2012- June 2013
September 2013- December 2013
In this setting I was set up with the children in the nursery, the duties I carried out in this setting consisted of carrying out daily tasks such as setting up activities and equipment out for the day. I also helped by supervising during lunch and helping the children in the lunch hall by providing support whilst they cut their food. I was also there to help support children who have speech delays or where English is their second language.

Archdeacon John Lewis – Assistant – January 2014 – March 2014
In this setting I was placed with children of an older age of 8-9 years, in this setting I was to provide the children with guidance and support during their compulsory subjects such as Mathematics and English. I also would help supervise on the playground.

Bridgend College Day Nursery – Assistant – March 2014- June 2014
In this setting I was placed with young babies from the ages of 4 months +, I was located in baby room 1 which was held with the youngest babies. My duties were to change nappies, make bottles and feed them, put the babies to sleep and to organise snack time for them. I also carried out the duties of sterilizing the babies belongings such as dummies.

Tremains Primary School – Assistant- September 2014 – present
In this setting I am placed with reception aged children, in this setting my role is to help children through day to day routines. I also help set up activities and prepare milk ready for snack time, I then wash and clean the cups after they have been used. I also help with the children that come in from the special care block, children which have disabilities such as downs syndrome, I help them do activities and also provide care and support for them.
