Hello I'm Marielle,

I am a very active 22 year old girl, and I have just graduated with a 2:1 in Childhood and Youth BSc. Within this degree I covered Behaviour Analysis, Social and Developmental Psychology, Adult and Adolescent Psychology, Psychology of Identity, Social Policy and Education. I am a very creative and proactive; always looking for a new challenge. I recently completed the Brighton Marathon 2014 and raised £1, 300 for the Alzheimer’s Society. I love to keep fit, I am a member of my University Swim Team, and I work occasionally as a circus contortionist.
I currently work as an Educational Support Officer for Gower College Swansea. I work as part of the independent living team teaching vital skills to adults with learning disabilities (from September 2014). I also work as a P.E teacher for a private school in Swansea (September 2014 - present). Additionally I work 1:1 with a young boy with down-syndrome a few hours a week (June 2014 - present). In previous roles I have worked as an E3+ Supervisor in Ysgol Ty Coch Special Needs School, planning and delivering afterschool activities for children aged 9-19 with various disabilities. I also attended meetings with other staff members to decide upon a plan for the term ahead (March 2012- July 2014). I have also worked 1:1 with Autistic children delivering ABA therapy in home and clinical settings (January 2014- July 2014).
Last summer I worked in Florida in a Special Needs Camp, for adults with learning disabilities. Often the adults also had a mental health disorder. I often worked 1:1 with individuals who displayed challenging behaviour and provided extensive personal care. We also shared the same quarters so I was on duty at all times (May 2013- August 2013).

I am a people person who is very reliable and prompt. I am honest and always true to my word. I am very hard working, I volunteer for St. Johns Ambulance providing first aid at various events. Whether work is paid or not I approach the job in hand with enthusiasm.
