Hi, my name is Elisabetta, a 29 years old physiotherapy student at the University of Essex.
Before undertaking this path I have worked as an au Pair in Scotland for a family of 4 kids ( 2, 4, 6, 8 years old), an experience that definitely tested my skills to be a great childminder with lots of patient and resources.
Being a previous PE teacher and a swimming instructor (throughout the winter and during the annual summer camp) give me the strength, passion and enthusiasm to make sure kids can both have fun and be safe when looking after them. Fun ad engaging activities are not just games, but also activities in which kids can develop new skills, such as drawing, sawing, building, for example. Having worked as a PE teacher in Australia for 2 years helped me to not only understand cultural differences, but also to engage with children from different social backgrounds, making sure they were given the same opportunities as the other students.
I am aware that the most important aspect for parents when choosing a babysitter is that their children need to be safe, comfortable and looked after, because that is what I would like for my kids.
