I am Melissa , I have always had a passion for child care and as everyone else says a natural caring ability to look after children from birth to any age. Since I left school I have been doing an apprenticeship as an early years practitioner meaning I have worked at 4 different settings within the local area and with children from 0-6 years old. When working at the primary schools I also found myself sometimes working with the older children as they would be around the school and always came to play with the younger ones on a break time. I have experience working in a child minders house, a nursery and a primary school. From each setting I have gained a lot of skills and experience wich have improved my professional development. I love planning activities for children to do whether it be to get them going during the day or to settle them down at night time. I have got my level 3 paediatric first aid and I have done safeguarding courses online. I also have currently just gained my level 3 work force child care diploma. Meaning I am a qualified early years practitioner! I love children of all ages and have always done the odd baby sitting job for family and friends but recently I have had people contacting me so I thought why not apply to a website so I can hopefully get work part time! I am always very fair towards the children and I am aware of their rights and always love to get to know what their needs are so I can meet them.

I charge these rates as I have just came out of being an early years practitioner apprentice meaning I only got 3 pound an hour and the work I put into with the children I felt as if I was doing this as a genuine career 3 pounds wouldn’t be enough but I was happy to start from the bottom and work my way up.
