My name is Mandie and I'm a 36 year old mother of one. I am looking for a second job to fit around my current position at a special needs school. I have worked with children for about 12 years now in a variety of settings from private nursery, state pre school nursery, primary and secondary schools, both special needs and mainstream, and after school clubs and holiday provisions. I am a qualified childcare and development worker, I'm first aid at work trained, Team Teach trained, I have an elementary food hygiene certificate and have recently trained as a manual handling trainer. I have extensive knowledge on a variety of conditions and disabilities including Autistic Spectrum Disorders. I also have challenging behaviour management training. I have a full clean drivers licence.
I enjoy my job working with and caring for special needs teenagers but I would like a bit of a change for my second job while still using the skills and qualifications I have.
I am a laid back person with a fun attitude. I value good manners and can be firm but fair when needed. I enjoy playing games indoor and out but I equally enjoy helping children with their studies and homework. I like arts and crafts and baking also. I am looking for some work in the evenings primarily but would be available weekend evenings also if required for a slightly higher hourly rate. If you think I could be what your family are looking for, get in touch.
Occasional babysitting | $8.00 per hour |
I think this is an acceptable hourly rate for someone with my experience and skill set to be looking after the most precious things in our lives but without being greedy or unrealistic.
