My name is Karen Long and I have 2 boys who I have raised to treat others as they wish to be treated themselves. I have worked in the care profession over the years starting in childcare and progressing to older adults. I am PVG checked, Scottish Social Services registered , First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.
I am a carer in nature and love to empower children to fulfil their potential. I utilise my life experiences with my own family, working in care at a children's home and Yorkhill hospital. Then onto older adults care and an activities pal which was the most enjoyable part of my role . In listening, enabling , implementing, empowering the person to continue to enjoy their interests and hobbies.
So I have a wide range of games and activities from sports, music, arts an crafts etc. The range depends on who I am careering for with their interests and me fitting around that .
As a parent myself I know how important it is to follow the parents values, guidelines for their family and my role is to do that.
