I am an 18 year old female, and have just finished my final year of A-levels. Before going to university, I am taking a gap year in which I can seek as much work experience as I can with children, as that is what my degree revolves around. I am looking to care for all a wide range of ages for children, happy to assist and play with them as well as fulfil various other requirements of the parents, such as a few preparing snacks for the children and some household chores. I would describe myself as easily approachable and friendly, and listen to and maintain conversations with children. I have had both paid and unpaid experience with family and friends, looking after various different age groups from 6 months to over 6 years, therefore I have gained a solid amount of information on how to care for children. Being a teenager myself, I am fully aware of childhood games and what usually tends to entertain children such as playing teachers, doctors or sleeping lions.
