I am a passionate and dedicated teacher with over 9 years of experience in various childcare positions. I have worked as a weekend nanny, after school nanny as well an Education specialist. I am a graduate of both Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham. I obtained a First class degree studying BSc (Hons) Psychology with Sociology, I chose modules centered on children’s learning and development and have gained an in depth understanding of key developmental and learning theories that enable me to design effective, age appropriate activities that enhance the social and academic skills of my students. I completed my teacher training through the University of Nottingham and obtained a PGCE in English. I am able to adapt my approach to suit any child/ family I am working with but generally offer a fun and positive approach to childcare involving games, outdoor sports and engaging activities around learning and education. I have a wide range of experience working with children in numerous settings. Therefore, I am adaptable, versatile, creative and confident in supporting children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to fulfil their potential.
I love to research and deepen my knowledge and would be more than happy to be in a completely new environment and find the right activities, outings and events to attend with the young people in my care to help advance their skills.
I can assure you that I will put your child’s needs and goals at the forefront of all I do. I am patient with my charges but will not let them coast through their education! I work professionally, respecting the culture and preferences of the parents. With experience, I have learnt that having a strong rapport with parents and teachers of the young person I am supporting is vital to that young person achieving excellence and as a result, I maintain this principle with all families I work with.
I am extremely polite and adaptable. I like going to the theatre, reading and learning about new cultures. I love the outdoors- going on walks, cycling and visiting new places. I love going to museums, art galleries and exhibitions and will work tirelessly to ensure my students develop the cultural capital they need to become astute and successful members of society. I am looking for long term part time position with a wonderful family.
