Hi there, My name is Emily. I have been caring for and working with children for 7+ years, and have always been around young children in my family for longer than that.
I have a passion for working with children and families from all cultural backgrounds and developmental abilities.
I have a MA Childhood Studies from the University of Leeds (UK). I also have a BA Child Psychology and BSC Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota (USA).
Professionally, I have experience with newborns to adolescents as well as disabled, multilingual, and highly-stressed/neglected children. I have been a preschool/nursery teacher in both the US and UK. Most recently, I have been working in child welfare with abused/neglected children whom were removed from their parents' care. My favorite thing about working with children is watching them grow and learn. Their imagination, curiosity, and honesty amaze me.

I will be on a Social Work training program at Liverpool Hope beginning this October 2017. I am from America, so will be pursuing this course as an international student.
I will be available most evenings and weekends starting in October. I am comfortable with overnight care if needed!
