I have worked in a preschool as a helper, and after doing courses, as a supervisor, I trained as a Registered Childminder, and ran my own childminding business, also caring for children via Suffolk County council. I eventually gave up my childminding business to care full time for my elderly parents. I enjoyed my years caring for children, I took them out to parks, on public transport for adventures to different places, museums, castles, parks. Some children came as young babies and stayed on my books through playgroup, nursery and primary school, or until they moved away. I believe children need boundaries and routine, and we used to enjoy outside play, as well as indoor play, which included junk modelling, painting, play dough, reading, and playing with toys. We used to collect insects in specimen jars to study in the garden, and draw before releasing. My minded children all learned to play together and share their toys. When on outings we always behaved ourselves, so people were happy to have us return for more visits
