Emily, sitter in Louth

My name is Emily, i am currently a studying an extended diploma in level 3 Health and Social Care and want to go on to become a social worker with children and families. My mother works at a nursery and therefore I have learnt a lot about children through her. I often babysit for some of the children that attend that nursery, as well as for younger cousins. I understand that it is important to keep children entertained whilst in my care and have had plenty of experience in playing games, story telling, baking, doing arts and crafts and various other activities. I also understand that it is important to help them complete any tasks such as homework and to maintain rules that their parents have for them whilst in my care. I am able to put myself on the childrens level to ensure effective communication and to ensure they are having fun, however i am still able to remain responsible and ensure the children are safe at all times. I am very enthusiastic about working with children, and have had previous work experience through college working at a nursery.
