Rachael, sitter in Niddrie

My name is Rachael, I’ve been a nursery teacher for four years and I’ve recently left my beloved job to start university but would love to keep pursuing my passion - childcare!
I have lots of experience, from being a volunteer at summer camps and a children’s charity and being an au pair in China for 9 months. Every weekend I tutor for some families I met whilst in China to help with their children’s English, I prepare homework, classes, and support any personal difficulties the children are having with language learning.

I also have a paediatric first aid qualification, which I keep up to date every two years. I’ve worked from babies (3 months old) to 12 year olds. I’m very adaptable and have lots of knowledge between all those age groups.

I’ve recently research and explore gentle parenting techniques and put them into my practice which has changed the way I view my job a lot and I’m really enjoying it.

I’m a very friendly, chatty, and open minded individual who enjoys singing, dancing, and playing sports. I’m also very responsible which comes naturally from being the eldest sister of five children!
