My name is Jessica, I will be 20 this upcoming November. I am currently a student at Plymouth University doing Psychology, where I am going into my first year. The type of childcare I mainly am providing is part-time nanny work and babysitting.
My first experience of child care was when I used to volunteer at a youth club for children between the ages of 8-10, my main responsibilities were organising and running activities for the children. Even now, at my current work, I run birthday parties for under 6's, where I run various party games with the children.
Professionally I have been a babysitter for nearly 5 years, mainly in my home town (which is just outside of Birmingham). The range of children I looked after where from small toddlers to pre-teens.
I have various activities that I engage with children, which I find suitable for various age groups. This ranges from arts and crafts, music and sports. I've found that even just a game of hide and seek is a creative way to keep little ones entertained for hours...
I'm used to hard work, having had a job at a restaurant since I was 16. My main hobbies include reading, spending time with my family and friends and playing basketball. A passion of mine is violin, having played for over 12 years, I'm currently at a grade 7 level.
