My name is Rachel, I am 21 and am in university studying history, and hope to become a primary school teacher when I graduate. I am trained and have a certificate for CPR for children and adults
I have 3 older sisters and 5 nieces and nephews who I have grew up with and I frequently care for my partners sister who is 3 years old.
I am a happy and fun person and can relate to children very easily. While I love technology I also believe it is important for children to interact with each other and engage in practical games. For example, the paper game BOY/GIRL gets children's minds actively thinking, games like jenga and kerplunk, or outside games such as tennis and Frisbee is family friendly and keeps children active.
I am hoping to care for children aged 1-16 and do a variety of tasks such as school pick ups, cooking, shopping, cleaning, homework, teaching etc. I believe that looking after children in a variety of environments where each situation will bring its joys and troubles will help me become a better teacher in the future and make me more equipped to deal with different problems.
