Elizabeth, sitter in Waltham cross EN8

I am 18 years old and currently studying Child Care and Double Business at Haileybury Turnford Sixth Form. In my own spare time I visit a local primary school on a regular basis at least once a week voluntarily to help myself improve my learning and development skills of working with babies and young children. At the moment I am looking for part time work involved with children and looking after them in order for me to get further practice before I hope to head off to University later this year.

At my placement I have took part in various roles such as; one to one reading; one to one extra work time; helping the children get ready for PE lessons; arts and crafts and play time. All of these activities that have taken place at my placement were observed to ensure I was handling situations correctly. I enjoy listening to children read and helping them with any extra work, as if i do it regularly it is beneficial for me to see how much they have improved over time.
