Poppy, sitter in York

Hi, I’m Poppy.
I’m currently at sixth form doing my alevels in psychology, sociology and German. I am applying to university (hopefully university of Birmingham, Edinburgh or Manchester) to become a paediatric nurse. I already have lots of experience working with children in preparation for taking on this role. I looked after my 6 year old cousin for a week in the summer, I am a rainbows girl-guiding leader, I babysit for a family with two young children regularly and I have shadowed in a clinical environment aswell. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with children and feeling like a safe space for them- I feel children respond very well to me (especially as I’m at the ‘cool’ age to them!). I am genuinely interested in their conversations and interests, no matter how silly! I would try my best to make them feel comfortable with me and look forward to me coming around again. I hope you consider me as a babysitter- I’d love to meet some new families/children and gain more experience in my future field!
