Lauren, after-school childcare - DD11 Arbroath

My name is Lauren I am 18 years old and from Arbroath, Angus.
Through previous experience of caring for family members and babysitting services to friends/family friends I have developed the skills required for caring for children from newborns to primary ages.
I have a natural love for children and hope to have my own some day, I get on well with children and enjoy helping them learn exciting new things whether it be learning to read or write or hobbies such as baking, crafts or dancing.
Previously I have been a teaching assistant in after school activities at a local dance company where I loved learning about the children there who were from 4-9 years old. This involved teaching and supervising them at all times and being involved in fun activities such as group games.
I am beginning to study a HNC Social Sciences course at the Arbroath Campus of Dundee and Angus but was offered an unconditional place in a HNC Early Childhood Practice course. I would be studying full days Monday and Thursday and Tuesday afternoons but would be free to work any time.
I currently work as a Sales Assistant at Goodfellow and Stevens, Arbroath but I hope to leave this position for something more full time or to work there and as a child care giver.
I have a very positive attitude towards life and believe children teach us more than what we teach them. I am outgoing, confident with a good sense of humour which i believe is needed especially working with children! I have no former illnesses which would effect my work with children
