Mel, after-school childcare in Sketty

Hello!

My name is Mel. I'm an American nanny with twelve years of professional experience working in-home with children of all ages. I have a strong background in newborn care, and have created and taught a Newborn Care class specifically designed for first time parents, and also provided private consultations on various sleep issues, such as short or absent naps and sleep training. I'm also knowledgeable in the areas of development, breast and formula feeding, play theory, nutrition and growth, and common illnesses.

I'm kind, fun, creative, and enjoy teaching children of all ages. I focus primarily on reading and developmental play for infants, and have facilitated communication in children as young as 8 months old through the use of sign language. With older children, I especially love engaging them with literature and art, and also enjoy setting up science experiments and learning about space.

I'm looking for part-time work while I complete my Master's dissertation in the field of Childhood Studies, and going on through the fall. I look forward to hearing from you!
