My name is Kate, I am a 23 year old young woman who loves working with children.

I have previously worked as a babysitter from the age of 17 and I spent 9 months in Italy as an au pair for a two year old boy as well as helping look after his newborn brother. I am looking for a similar set up with a new family as a live-out au pair, helping with school runs, homework and meal times.

I feel the most important thing about working with children is ensuring a positive and nurturing environment within the child is free to learn. I also believe in learning through play, both independent and structured (through a lesson). I also believe it is important for a child to learn to be independent, as this will lead to self motivation when doing homework and studying as well as keeping themselves occupied when an adult is busy.
